Randy White

Randy Eugene White, 8th child of Willard Wayne and Darlene Louise (Keller) White was born May 5, 1959 in Greenfield, Iowa. Randy passed into Gods hands on June 8, 2016 at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston at the age of 57.
Randy was educated in the Shannon City and Arispe Schools and a 1977 graduate of East Union High School. He and lifelong friend Steve Crittenden immediately enlisted in the US Army. His active service began June 7, 1977. He was an Army Track Vehicle Mechanic. He served 6 active years and 6 years in the reserves. Randy received an Honorable Discharge in 1988. On March 22, 2003 Randy married Paula Clem at the Three Mile Lodge in Afton, Iowa.
Randy worked for Wellman-Dynamics for the last 35 years. He began as a Molder and following a layoff, he returned as a Magnesium Aluminum Casting Welder. During that layoff Randy worked in Afton at Heat Tech in maintenance.
Randy served on the Creston City Council representing the 1st ward for the last 10 years. He also served as Mayor Pro Tem. Randy was a member of the Crest City Masonic Lodge #522 in Creston and the Scottish Rite Mason 32nd degree. He was also a member of the First Christian Church and enjoyed singing.
Left to cherish Randy’s memory is his wife, Paula White, Creston, IA; his children: Jesse (Val) White, Creston, IA; and Stacy (Ryan) Henryson, Clive, IA. Three grandchildren: Christian and Kailyn White; and Halle Henryson. Four brothers: Larry White; Jerry (Sandra) White; Perry (Sara) White; and John (Loretta) White; Four sisters: Mary (Loren) Long; Marsha (Terry) Cheers; Marie (Rich) Flynn; and Marla (Bernard) Crawford. Randy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Randy will be missed by his many, many friends.
Preceding Randy in death were his parents: Willard and Darlene White; step-son Kyle Bowers; mother and father in law, Helen and Bob Clem; brother in law Mike Clem and nephew Kendall Crawford.
