Sherrie L. Baker

Sherrie Lou Baker, the daughter of Louie Arnold and Bonnie Kay (Killen) Watson, was born on August 10, 1968 at Des Moines, Iowa. Sherrie entered eternal rest on June 11, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa at the age of forty-seven years, ten months and one day.
Sherrie lived in the Des Moines area around Carlisle, Pleasantville, and Avon. On April 7, 1987 she married William “Bill” Patrick Baker in Des Moines, Iowa. Sherrie was a homemaker and housewife for the first six years of her marriage. She worked as a waitress at the Northside Café in Winterset and later became the head cook. Sherrie worked at the café for seventeen years. They moved to Creston nearly twenty years ago and she worked at HyVee and cooked at various places in town.
Sherrie loved to play bingo and enjoyed her flower gardens. Cooking was her passion and her Grandkids were her life. Sherrie was an avid football fan, especially the Denver Broncos.
Left to cherish Sherrie’s memory is her husband, Bill Baker, Creston; her children: Billy Baker (Fiance Trisha Jones), Creston; Patrick Baker, Creston; Casey (Stacy) Baker, Indianola; Kaylee Baker, Creston; and Sara Baker, Creston; her daughter-in-law, Wendy Lowe, Afton; her Grandchildren: Willie, Thayden, Keyton, Abigail, and Annabell; her sister, Sandy (John) Baldwin, Hartford, IA; her brother, Wes Watson, Hartford, Iowa; her sisters-in-law: Carla (Roger) Gregg, Tingley and Barb (Rick) Supinger, Redding, IA; her brother-in-law, Mark McDaniel, Redding, IA; her niece, Rachael McDaniel; her three nephews: Joe and Zack Killen, and Ryan McDaniel; and other family and friends.
Preceding Sherrie in death were her parents; her mother-in-law, Patricia Kennedy, and her father-in-law, William Duane Baker.
