Albert William Boswell the son of Elza Lemont and Mabel Gertrude (Scott) Boswell, was born on March 31, 1918 in Mt. Etna, Iowa. Albert entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Corning Nursing Rehab in Corning, Iowa at the age of ninety years, seven months and seven days.
Albert was a graduate of Corning High School with the class of 1937. On August 18, 1937, Albert was united in marriage to Cecelia Flora Wheatley and two children were born to bless this union: Patricia Lu and Albert William Wheatley.
The couple moved to Omaha in 1943 and Albert worked on the production line at the Martin-Balmer plant until the end of the war. The couple moved back to Adams county and Albert owned and operated Boswell Oil Company beginning in the mid 1950s. He delivered petroleum to farmers all over Adams County. Albert was also a long-time school bus driver for the Corning School District.
Albert and Toots spent many summers on fishing trips in Minnesota. They loved to square dance and belonged to a card club. Albert was an avid bowler and was on leagues most of his life. Albert and Toots looked forward to their evening drives around town and out to the lake. After retirement, the couple traveled extensively. They spent their winters down in Arizona. They enjoyed various restaurants, often times traveling great distances for a great maid-rite. His embrace of life will be missed.
Left to cherish Alberts memory is his daughter, Patricia Evans of Orlando, Florida; son, Albert (wife Tammy) Boswell of Harrison, Arizona; four grandsons: John-Keith Boswell, Devon Boswell, Bryan Evans and Christopher Evans; two great-grandsons: Brekken and Laith Boswell; brothers: Clarence (wife Roberta) Boswell of Corning, Iowa, Orville (wife Blondie) Boswell of Corning, Iowa; sisters: Laura (husband Warren) Johnston of Corning, Iowa, Berniece (husband Glen) Huntington of Spencer, Iowa, Alice (husband John) Burchard of Omaha, Nebraska; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friend Lenora Carstenson.
