Alberta Mae Miller

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah with Graveside Services at 12:30 P.M. on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made in Albertas name.
Alberta Mae Miller, the daughter of Lonnie and Bessie (Benson) Pace was born on August 26, 1946, at New Market, Iowa. Alberta entered eternal rest on January 21, 2007, at Crest Haven Care Centre in Creston, Iowa, at the age of sixty years, four months, and twenty-eight days.
Alberta married Larry E. Miller in October, 1969. They divorced in 1982.
Alberta was a Certified Nurse Aide and worked at Crest Haven Care Centre in Creston for twenty-six years. When Alberta was named “Employee of the Month” at Crest Haven Care Centre she wrote that she “enjoyed her years at Crest Haven. The residents always give you an uplift and bring a special joy into your life. A hug and a smile goes a long way and each resident is worth a million hugs”. Alberta previously worked in Des Moines, also as a Certified Nurse Aide, for several years.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents. Left to mourn Albertas passing are her sisters: Edna Holker, Afton; Genevieve Huggins, North Carolina; and Jenny Hand, Des Moines; Special Friend: Larry Miller, Essex; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, co-workers and friends.
