Alice A. Fletcher

Alice Alcista Fletcher was born to Frances (Smith) and John Wimer on January 2, 1914, near Mount Ayr in Ringgold County, Iowa. Alice entered eternal rest on November 22, 2006, at Greater Regional Medical Center, Creston, Iowa, at the age of ninety-two years, ten months, and twenty days.
Alice lived most of her life in Ringgold County. She was raised and baptized in the Baptist Church in Mount Ayr. Alice graduated from Mount Ayr High School with the Class of 1932. On September 12, 1936, she married Everett Troy Fletcher at Grant City, Missouri.
Alice was a homemaker, a farm wife, and a loving mother.
Left to mourn Alices passing are her children: John Fletcher, Creston; David Fletcher (special friend, Barb Pickett), Grand Junction, CO; Peggy (Ted) Olson, Mitchelville, IA; Richard Fletcher (special friend, Cindy Love), Afton, IA; Karen (Dale) Magee, Creston; Tom Fletcher, Diagonal, IA; Larry Fletcher, Creston; Charles (Roxie) Fletcher, Diagonal, IA; Steve Fletcher, Mount Ayr, IA; and Patricia (Ronnie) Bird, Creston; Daughter-in-law: Bonnie Fletcher, Diagonal, IA; Twenty-six Grandchildren; Thirty-four Great-Grandchildren; and one Great-Great-Grandson; Sister: Ruth (Leslie) Saltzman, Denver, IA; Sister-in-law: Lavina Wimer, Mount Ayr, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Alice in death were her parents; her husband in 1987; Son: Ed Fletcher; one brother: Howard Wimer; and six sisters: Leona, Irene, Gladys, Hazel, Vera, and Helen Jean.
