Alice M. Moore

Alice Mae Moore was born to Hazel Bernice (Elliott) and Glenn Harvey Moore on July 29, 1933, at home near Afton in Union County, Iowa. Alice entered eternal rest at Creston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Creston, Iowa, on October 14, 2006, at the age of seventy-three years, two months, and eighteen days.
Alice married Alphus “Tub” Jones on December 18, 1952 in Clarke County, Iowa, and later divorced. Alice worked as a spot welder at Gits Manufacturing for twenty years. She also worked as a bartender at the American Legion for nearly twenty years.
Left to mourn Alices passing are her sisters: Ina (Paul) Chandler, Sharpsburg, IA; Betty (Francis) Schrodt, Pinellas Park, FL; Doris Watts, Creston, IA; her Sister-in-law: Maxine Lowe, Creston, IA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Alice in death were her parents; her Ex-husband; Three Brothers: Chester, Hollis and Merrill Moore; and Three Sisters: Ruth Umbaugh, Louise Reeves, and Ruby Vorrath.
