Arlene Hogueison

Arlene I. Hogueison, 85, of Greenfield passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Greenfield Nursing and Rehab, Greenfield, Iowa. Private Graveside Services will be held at Greenfield Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to H.C.I. Hospice c/o Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Arlene I. Hogueison, the daughter of Lloyd and Zelma “Dutch” Dee (Lemon) Snell, was born on November 28, 1929 in Barney, Madison County, Iowa. She attended school in Greenfield through the 8th Grade and later earned her G.E.D. Arlene stayed home to help during World War II, while the men were serving their country.
Arlene married Harley Hogueison and they lived in Stuart where Harley owned a Salvage Company for at least twenty years. After Harley passed away in 1977, she moved to Greenfield to take care of her ailing father and lived in Greenfield the remainder of her life.
Arlene spent most of her working years being a homemaker and housewife. She completed her training and earned a certificate to work as a home health care aide. Arlene was a member of the First Congregational Church in Stuart, Iowa.
Survivors include many cousins. Arlene was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother, Bobby, who died at age 2; and her husband Harley Hogueison in 1977.
