Arthur Weber

Arthur John Weber, the son of John Matthew and Nora Agnes (Kerrigan) Weber, was born on October 19, 1913 at Creston, Iowa. Arthur entered eternal rest on June 8, 2007, at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of ninety-three years, seven months and twenty days.
Arthur attended school at Spaulding Center country school and also Creston Public School. Arthur served in the United States Army during WW II from July 15, 1942 until October 13, 1945. He served in the 3rd Armored Division in Europe where he sustained an injury. On July 2, 1945, he married Freda Roberta Toland at Creston, Iowa.
Arthur lived in the Creston area all of his life. In 1936, he began working for Matt Conway Chevrolet (later purchased by Kerr-Cochran). He worked as a mechanic and was a front-end alignment specialist. Arthur retired at age sixty-seven from Mark Cornick Chevrolet.
Arthur loved to bowl and bowled in several leagues over the years. He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Left to mourn Arthurs passing are his brother: Bill (wife Vivian) Weber, Creston; his sister: Kathryn Rasmussen, Creston; his sister-in-law: Dorothy (husband Jack) Carlson, Creston and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Arthur in death were his parents; his wife, Freda, in 2001; his sisters: Agnes Wilson; Irene Groves; and Bernice Williams; and Brother-in-Law: Donald Rasmussen.
