Barney Kinser

Barney Lyle Kinser, the son of John Charles and Amanda Louise (Bode) Kinser, was born December 31, 1923 in Bereau, Iowa in Adair County. Barney entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Corning Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of eighty-three years, five months and twenty days.
He attended country school through the 8th grade in Cass County, Iowa. Barney had a passion for farming, which he did all his life in Cass and Adams Counties. He was a hard worker and never complained. When he wasnt farming, he could be found at the river fishing for catfish. He always had his pets around him, both cats and dogs.
Preceding Barney in death were his parents; two sisters, Ruby Swain and Frances Kinser; three brothers, his twin, Johnnie, and Dale and Donald Kinser.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters-in-law: Thelda (Marlin) Herr of Fontanelle, Iowa and Joyce Kinser of Corning, Iowa; brother-in-law, Chester Swain of Massena, Iowa; beloved white cat “Old Pete,” several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
