Beulah B. Bissell

Beulah Belle (Vogel) Bissell was born September 19, 1923 to Maude (Scott) and William Vogel in Adams County, Iowa. Beulah entered eternal rest on September 15, 2005 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital at the age of eighty-one years, eleven months and twenty-eight days.
Beulah was united in marriage to Rex Bissell on February 26, 1942 in Maryville, Missouri. To this union three sons were born, Bruce, Richard and Robert. They were also blessed to raise a daughter, Barbara.
Beulah had worked at the Coffee Shop, Turners, hung wallpaper for others, cooked at Burgundy and Brass Restaurant, and spent many, many hours cross stitching quilts. She and Rex owned and operated the Harmony Lanes Bowling Alley from 1978 to 1988. She was a member of Lincoln Center Methodist Church and former member of Happy Hollow Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rex; two sons, Richard and Robert ; brothers, Earl Vogel, Russell Vogel, Glen Vogel, Don Vogel, Ralph Vogel, Ray Vogel; sisters, Alice Johnston, Helen Mosman, Wilma Schafer; sisters-in-law, Helen Vogel, Neva Vogel, Evelyn Vogel, Lola Vogel, Jean Vogel; brothers-in-law, Leo Johnston, Bill Mosman, and Boyd Schafer.
Survivors include a son, Bruce (Wendy) Bissell of Nodaway, IA; daughter, Barbara Johnston (special friend Max Sorensen) Prescott, IA; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
