Beverly Ann Hogue

Beverly Ann Hogue was born on July 22, 1931 to Jesse and Erla Louise (Hegwood) Barker in Lenox, IA.  She attended country school in Taylor County and the Lenox Public Schools.  Beverly Ann was united in marriage to Claudie Wesley Hogue on June 25, 1949 in Lenox.  Six children were born to bless their union:  Rickey, Mark, Deborah, Randy, Matthew and Christine.  Beverly loved her family and worked as a homemaker, caring for her husband and raising their children.  She also worked in the laundry and housekeeping departments of the Lenox Care Center for several years.
Beverly Ann was a life-long member of the Lenox Christian Church.  In her spare time, Beverly enjoyed mowing the lawn at the farm and was an avid reader of books.  She was especially fond of her cats.
Preceding Beverly in death were her parents; her husband on January 16, 1993; 2 sisters:  Linda White and Wilma Hayes; an infant granddaughter and her step grandson, Benjamin Dodge.
Beverly is survived by her six children:  Rickey Jon (wife Delma) Hogue of Shennandoah, IA, Mark Wesley (wife Gaylene) Hogue of Camdenton, MO, Deborah Ann (husband Roger) Walley of Las Vegas, NV, Randy Wayne (wife Holly) Hogue of Mt. Ayr, IA, Matthew Wade (wife Coleen) Hogue of Lenox, IA and Christine Leslie (husband David) Jensen of Owatonna, MN;  19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Don (wife Maralyn) Barker of Ames, IA; and by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  May God grant comfort and strength to those who mourn.
