Bob Bauman

September 25, 1962 — December 26, 2011

Robert David “Bob” Bauman, the son of Richard Wayne and Helen Marie (Bahr) Bauman, was born on September 25, 1962, in Harlan, Iowa. Bob entered eternal rest on December 26, 2011, at the Greater Regional Hospice Home, Creston, Iowa, at the age of forty-nine years.
Bob moved to Creston from Irwin, Iowa in 1966. Bob graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1981, and received an Associate Degree in Music from Southwestern Community College in 1983. He attended the University of Nevada in Las Vegas for one year.
Bob had a natural ability for woodworking. He made the trophy cases that were used for display in the former Creston Post Office and helped with the restoration of that building which currently houses “Maple Street Memories”. Bob also worked for numerous construction companies. Music was a large part of Bobs life and he was the drummer for several bands: Storm; T-Bones; Last Band on Earth; Thunderbirds; Roulette; Dammit Jim; Justin Appel and The Bushmen.
Bob met his life partner, Christine A. Anderson, in 2000 and a daughter, Unity was born. Bob was very creative in not only his music and woodworking; but took great pride in all of his endeavors and accomplishments.
Left to cherish Bobs memory are his life partner, Christine Anderson, Creston; his son, Adam Bauman, Prescott; his daughter, Unity Bauman Anderson, Creston; his mother, Helen Bauman, Okoboji, IA; his sister, Kristen (Mitch) Hurst, Woodinville, WA; his brother, Stuart (Cindy) Bauman, Arlington, TX; Unitys Grandmother, Donna Scheel, Creston; his aunts: Jolene Wilder, Des Moines, IA; Jeanne (Ken) Batz, Lake City, IA; Julie (Ron) Coy, Ames, IA; his uncle: Don (Carolyn) Bahr, Artesia, NM; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Preceding Bob in death were his father, Dick Bauman in 1999; Unitys grandfather, Don Scheel, in 2008; and his grandparents: Bob and Florine Bauman; and Melvin and Verna Bahr.
