Carita Elaine Mintzer

Carita Elaine Mintzer, daughter of Orville Roy and Claire Elizabeth (Miller) Campbell, was born on June 29, 1953. Carita entered eternal rest on Monday, December 20, 2010 at her home in Corning at the age of fifty-seven years, five months and twenty-three days.
Carita lived her entire life in Corning, Iowa graduating from Corning High School. Carita married Vincent Kirk McCann in the mid 1970’s. The couple had two children: Angela and Shane. Later the couple divorced. Carita was united in marriage to William “Bill” Howard Mintzer in 1990 at a country church near Prescott.
Carita worked as a CNA in Creston at the Crest Haven Care Centre for several years. When she was younger, Carita worked as a CNA at the Corning Nursing Rehab Center. When her children were small, Carita stayed home to care for them.
Left the cherish Caritas’ memory is her husband, Bill Mintzer of Corning, Iowa; son, Shane McCann of Des Moines, Iowa; granddaughter, Angela McCann of Des Moines, Iowa; nephew, Shawn Harpin of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Carita was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angela Elaine McCann and sister, Carla Harpin.
