Carrie E. Mulford

Carrie Elizabeth Mulford was born to Grace (Burke) and John Kessler on March 12, 1909, in rural Union County, Iowa. Carrie entered eternal rest on June 27, 2006, at the Osceola Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of ninety-seven years, three months, and seventeen days.
Carrie graduated from Creston High with the class of 1927. Carrie married Joseph Raymond Mulford at Creston, Iowa, in 1928. To this union, three sons were born: John, James and Stephen.
Carrie was a homemaker and a farm wife. Carrie and Joseph farmed near Prescott until moving to Creston in 1974. She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Lenox for 26 years; a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church since 1974; a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Anns Society and the Altar Society; and she served on the Diocesan C.C.W. Board for several years.
Left to mourn Carries passing are her sons: Jim (wife Shirley) Mulford, Johnston, IA; Stephen (wife Pattee) Mulford, Norwalk, IA; Seven Grandchildren: Linda Rogers, Karen Mulford, Shelly Hansen, Mark Mulford, Beth Younadam, Jackie Cox, and Johnnie Mulford; Nineteen Great-Grandchildren; Four Great-Great-Grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding Carrie in death were her Parents: Husband Joseph in 1988; Son: John Mulford in 1986; three brothers: Edward Kessler; Ernest Kessler; Harry Kessler; and one sister: Alice Myers.
