Catherine Lamb

Catherine Lamb, daughter of John Joseph and Clara Catherine (Bintner) White, was born on October 15, 1938 in Creston, Iowa. Catherine entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of seventy-five years.
Catherine attended school in Creston and graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1957. Following graduation, Catherine was united in marriage to Leon Lamb on August 7, 1957 and four boys were born to bless this union: Steve, Jeff, Craig and Mike.
Catherine was a homemaker her entire life and took great pride in raising her children and taking care of her family.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America.
Left to cherish Catherine’s memory is her husband, Leon Lamb of Creston, Iowa; sons: Steve (Vicky) Lamb of Prairie Village, Kansas; Jeff (Linda) Lamb of Creston, Iowa; Craig ( Missy) Lamb of Pleasant Valley, Iowa and Mike (Roxanne) Lamb of Red Oak, Iowa; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Shirley) White of Hammond, Louisiana; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Mary Ann Mathiason and Bobbi Hawks; brothers-in-law: John Mathiason and Paul Hawks.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston, Iowa with Father Kenneth Halbur, Jr. as Celebrant. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30PM on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Pearson Family Funeral Service in Creston, Iowa with the Rosary being said at 6:30PM. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Creston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Malachy School in Creston, Iowa.
