Charles Chuck Henry

Charles “Chuck” Lloyd Henry, the son of David Russell and Roberta Ann (Cunningham) Henry, was born in Creston, Iowa on August 25, 1964. Chuck entered eternal rest on September 27, 2014 at his home in Creston, Iowa at the age of fifty years, one month and two days.
Chuck attended Creston Public Schools and graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1983. Following graduation, Chuck enrolled at the Auto Body Technical School in Omaha, Nebraska and attended there for a year. While living in Omaha, Chuck joined his first Tae Kwon Do club and that created a life-long interest for him. He returned to Creston in 1984 and promptly joined Farrell’s Tae Kwon Do club. In 1984, Chuck also began working for McDonalds where he met Roberta Cerven. Chuck and Roberta were married on December 30, 1988 in Stanton, Iowa and were later blessed with two sons: Nick and Josh.
Chuck’s career with McDonalds lasted for 30 years. It began with him working as a Crew Person and eventually being promoted thru the Management Levels until he became a Supervisor. In addition, Chuck took over ownership of Farrell’s Tae Kwon Do in 1988 and later changed the name to Henry’s Tae Kwon Do. He received his Black Belt in 1988 and was recently promoted to a 6th Degree Black Belt. He has trained many Tae Kwon Do students and Mixed Martial Arts fighters over the years. Chuck had a passion for the Martial Arts and would share his passion with anyone.
Chuck had a love for Chevy Camaro’s and owned several at different times in his life. He was an avid reader of Mystery and Crime Novels and researched many different disciplines of the Martial Arts.
Preceding Chuck in death was his father, David Henry; a son, Nick Henry; his father-in-law, Bob Cerven; his sister, Linda Henry and a nephew, Travis Henry.
Left to mourn Chuck’s passing is his wife, Roberta “Bert” Henry of Creston; a son, Josh Henry of Creston; his mother, Roberta Henry of Creston; his brother, Mike (Maureen) Henry of Creston; and his mother-in-law, Bernice Cerven of Stanton, Iowa. Chuck is also survived by a nephew, Zach Henry; a niece, Keirstan Henry; his aunt and uncle, Karen (Ronald) Simpson of Shannon City, Iowa and two cousins: Kim Kopke and Deb Thummell.
