Cheryl Denise Walker, daughter of Curtis Joseph and Frances Mary (Roberts) Walker, was born on November 8, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Cheryl entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her home in Corning at the age of fifty-seven years, seven months and seven days.
Cheryl graduated high school in Marrero, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. She attended classes to become a paralegal at the University of New Orleans.
Most recently, Cheryl was employed by the Iowa State Extension Office as an Administrative Assistant in Corning. Prior to moving to Corning, Cheryl worked for the Metropolitan Development Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, which was a government position. Cheryl also worked for the American Red Cross Association for several years.
Cheryl loved visiting her family and her friends, attending the Jazz Fest in New Orleans and the French Quarter Fest every year. She enjoyed barbequing with her daughter Nathalie. Cheryl was dedicated and loved assisting the kids in preparing them for the Adams County 4-H Fair; she always felt a close connection to the community due to her involvement.
Left to cherish Cheryls memory is her son, Nicholas Solari and his significant other, Carla Barcelona of Abita Springs, Louisiana; daughter, Nathalie Solari and her significant other, Nicholas Leeker of Corning, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Caleb, Collin, Camren, Brayden, Nicholas Jr., Courtney and Georgia; sisters: Debra Morales of Harvey, Louisiana and Janine Walker of Schriever, Louisiana; brother, Lucious (Patricia) Walker of New Orleans, Louisiana and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her, parents and sister, Joanell Martin.
