Connie Louise Williamson, daughter of Lester Leon and Lilly Caroline (Blazek) Gibson, was born on Saturday, November 30, 1940 in Adams County, Iowa. Connie entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of sixty-eight years, seven months and fourteen days.
Connie was a graduate of Prescott High School with the Class of 1958. Connie was united in marriage to George Williamson on January 8, 1961 at the Lutheran Church in Corning, Iowa. Born to bless this union were two children: son, Tracy and daughter, Terri.
The couple were life-long residents of the Williamson Community, near Prescott, Iowa in Adams County.
Throughout her years, Connie worked at various places. She was a telephone operator in Creston, worked for the National Farmers Organization in Corning, helped her husband George build fences and worked at Bunn-o-matic in Creston. Most of all, Connie was a beloved wife, mother and friend.
Connie loved gardening, birds, crossword puzzles and visits with family and friends. She was a member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary and the Adams County Genealogy Society.
Left to cherish Connies memory is her husband, George Williamson of Prescott, Iowa; son, Tracy (wife Sherri) Williamson of Delavan, Wisconsin; daughter, Terri Williamson (partner Rita Simpson) of Peoria, Arizona; two grandchildren: Jenna and Hanna Williamson of Delavan, Wisconsin; brother, Carl (wife Valerie) Gibson of California; sister, Lois (husband Wade) Dimmitt of Red Oak, Iowa and sister-in-law, Evelyn Chapman Daniels and husband, Lowell of Polk City, Iowa.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alice (husband Sonny) Highsmith and brother, John Gibson.
