October 12, 1950 — August 15, 2020

Cynthia “Cindy” Ann League, 69, of Creston, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston. No services are planned and burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in the Platte Cemetery in Platte, South Dakota. Memorial contributions may be made in Cindy’s name to the Shriners Hospital for Children. Memories can be shared at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.
Cynthia Ann League, the daughter of Lawrence and Hazel (Johnson) Kuiper, was born on October 12, 1950 in Platte, South Dakota. She attended school in Platte and graduated from Platte High School with the Class of 1968. Cindy married Arlan League on August 17, 1968 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Platte. Two boys: Corey and Jamie blessed this union.
After Cindy and Arlan were married they lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for a short time before moving to Creston, Iowa. A few years after moving to Creston, Cindy began working for Creston Nursing and Rehab as a nurse’s aide. In 1986 she started working for Bunn-O-Matic and was a faithful employee until her retirement in 2012.
Cindy loved to cook and had many of her recipes published in several cookbooks. She and Arlan enjoyed traveling and drag racing with friends. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Platte, South Dakota where she was baptized, confirmed and married.
Left to cherish Cindy’s memory is her husband, Arlan of Creston; son, Jamie League and wife Adele of Charlotte, North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Jennifer League of Silver Creek, New York; grandchildren: Lily, Daisy, Dean, Jacob and Brianna; sister, Connie Casebier and husband Alan of Santa Barbara, California; brother, Kent Kuiper and wife Margaret of Bellevue, Michigan; along with many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Cindy in death were her parents; son, Corey in 2011 and brother, Darrell Kuiper.
