Dale E. Boyd

Dale Eugene Boyd was born to Nellie Mae (Hoakison) and Alva V. Boyd on June 23, 1917, in rural Adair County near Creston, Iowa. Dale entered eternal rest on October 30, 2005, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of eighty-eight years, four months, and nine days.
Dale lived his entire life in the Creston area. He graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1935. Dale married Leah Mae Buehler on October 4, 1942, in Denver, Colorado. He was working at an ammunition factory in Denver at that time. Dale was president of A. V. Boyd Sons Construction of Creston, Iowa. Dale retired in 1990.
Dale was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Creston; Past President of the Creston Rotary Club; Past President of Creston Chamber of Commerce; and was very active in Creston Development.
Left to mourn Dales passing are his son: Dick Lee (Bonnie) Boyd, Grant City, MO; his brother: Clair (Jean) Boyd, Creston; Brother-In-Law: Joe Henry. Creston; Sister-In-Law: Maxine Boyd, Creston; One Grandson: Jeffery Alan Boyd, Red Oak; Two Step-Grandchildren: Kathy (Dwayne) Lough, Atlantic; Eddie Lewis, Atlantic; Special Niece: Ronda Boyd, San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
