Dan Mccubbin

Dan Marston McCubbin, the son of W. G. and Margaret Alice (Marston) McCubbin, was born April 27, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska. Dan entered eternal rest Monday, October 4. 2021, at Corning Specialty Care, Corning, Iowa, at the age of eighty-three years.

Dan graduated from Elkhorn High School, Elkhorn, Nebraska. He then attended UNL at Lincoln, Nebraska. Dan married Judy Veskerna on June 25, 1960 and they had three daughters: Rhonda, Susan and Holly. They later divorced. Dan married Joyce (Clemens) McCubbin on June 3, 1995, and a step-son, Rick, and a step-daughter, Constance joined the family.

Dan worked for Sarpy County in Nebraska as a heavy equipment operator for 24 years. He also raised cattle as well as raising and breeding hound dogs. Dan loved to fish and hunt and would seldom miss an opportunity to participate in these hobbies. Dan also enjoyed sports and was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Joyce of Prescott, Iowa; daughters: Rhonda (Tony) Tripp, Gretna, Nebraska; Susan (Joe) Keiderling, Ocala, Florida; Holly McCubbin, Gretna, Nebraska; step-son, Rick (Penny) Musgrove, Council Bluffs, Iowa; step-daughter, Constance Musgrove, Shreveport, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; sister, Maggie (Robert) Mundy, Omaha, Nebraska; one niece, one nephew.

Preceding Dan in death were his parents.
