David R. Henry

David Russell Henry was born to Mildred (Griep) and Russell Alfred Henry on March 21, 1939, in Creston, Iowa. David entered eternal rest on November 9, 2005, at his home in Creston at the age of sixty-six year, seven months, and twenty-one days.
David attended Creston schools and graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1958. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves for four years beginning June of 1957. David lived in Union County his entire life. He farmed in Grant Township for about five years. He has farmed in Platte Township since 1966.
Those that knew David well know why we chose to have a green folder and green and yellow flower arrangements. His love for the John Deere tractor was prominent in his life. However, he actually did have an even greater love for one “red” in his life, his wife Roberta. They celebrated 46 years of marriage on September 20, 2005. To this marriage Linda, Mike and Chuck were born. They have seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter: Josh and Nick, sons of Chuck; Christie, David, Zach, Keirstan, and Travis, children, and Hope, granddaughter, of Mike. David also enjoyed spending time with his beloved aunts and uncle, Dorothy, Mary Jo, and Chuck; and his sister and her family, Karen, Ron, Kim, and Deb.
Preceding David in death were his parents; Daughter: Linda Henry; Infant Brother: Forrest Henry; his Mother-in-Law; and his Father-in-Law.
