Debra Bauer

Debra Bauer, 66 of Creston passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM, Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Creston, Iowa. Mr. Rob Loe will be officiating. Debra will be laid to rest in the Graceland Cemetery in Creston. Open visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 4-8 PM with family receiving friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Debra Jo Bauer was born in Creston, Iowa on August 10, 1956, the daughter of Arlene Louise Richards. Debbie was raised and educated in Creston, graduating from Creston High School with the Class of 1976. Following graduation, Debbie worked various places but found her niche in caring for disabled men and women. The last 21 years, Debbie has been a faithful employee at Imagine the Possibilities where she was part of the Direct Support staff. Debra married Lyle Dean Bauer in Creston on October 1, 1994. Debbie had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding Debra in death was her mother, Arlene; her grandparents, Arlo and Lulu Richards; her sister, Brenda Shade and brother-in-law, Michael Shade; and by a niece, Miranda Taylor.

Debra is survived by her husband, Lyle Bauer of Creston; her sister, Pamela (husband Jerry) Hall of Creston; her brothers: Mark Paxson of Ocoee, Florida; Danny Scott of Afton, Iowa and Luke Paxson of Creston, Iowa; and by her 2 step-sons: Joseph Pingree of Atlanta, Georgia and Brodie Pingree of Creston, Iowa.
