Deloris Purdum

Deloris Jane Purdum was born to Gertie (Robbins) and Bert Isiah Rodman on August 2, 1920, in Veblen, South Dakota. Deloris entered eternal rest on May 9, 2005, at Greater Community Hospital in Creston, Iowa, at the age of eighty-four years, nine months, and seven days.
Deloris graduated from Corning High School with the class of 1938. On April 11, 1942, she married Raymond Aaron Purdum. This marriage was blessed with three children. Deloris lived in Union County, Iowa, since 1942. She worked for the Creston School System throughout her adult life. Raymond passed away on December 22, 1995. Deloris moved to Creston in 1996.
Deloris was a member of the Cromwell Congregational United Church of Christ and Womens Fellowship.
Left to mourn Deloris passing are her sons: Dennis (wife Connie) Purdum, Creston; Danny (wife Cheryl) Purdum, Creston; her daughter: Joann Moore (friend John Moore), Creston; six Grandchildren: Anne (Tony) Clem; Jason (Stephanie) Purdum; Erica Moore; Chris Moore; Cody (friend Cali) Purdum; Casey (friend Danielle) Purdum; seven Great-Grandchildren; Brothers: Harold “Jack” (wife Fern) Rodman, Omaha, NE; Tom (wife Janice) Rodman, Arizona; Sisters: Iva Lawrence, Corning, IA; Ruth Schaffer, Corning, IA; Brother-in-Law: Clifford (wife Leone) Purdum, Creston; Brother-In-Law: Dale (wife Bert) Purdum, Lenox, IA; Sister-in-Law: Lois Rodman, Lenox, IA; Sister-In-Law: Gladys Leach, Clearfield, IA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Deloris in death were her Parents; Husband Raymond in 1995; Brother: Daryl Rodman; Sisters: Wilma Thorpe and Beverly Taha; Brothers-In-Law: Cliff Schaffer; Carl Lawrence; Frank Thorpe, Pete Leach; Sisters-in-Law: Lucille Goldsmith (and husband Francis); Jean Lewis (and husband Carlton).
