Deloyte E. Lauer

Deloyte Erin Lauer was born to Lorna Orilda (Gilbert) and Harvey Francis Lauer on April 24, 1926, in Adair County, Iowa. Deloyte entered eternal rest on January 19, 2006, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of seventy-nine years, eight months, and twenty-eight days.
Deloyte grew up in the Zion area. He graduated from Zion High School with the class of 1944. Deloyte served in the United States Army during World War II.
On December 31, 1948, Deloyte married Esther Lucille Edwards in rural Macksburg.
Deloyte farmed most of his life in the Zion area. He has lived on their current farm for over 50 years.
Left to mourn Deloytes passing are his wife: Esther Lauer, Creston; his daughters: Kathleen (Steve) Sullivan, Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Carla (Brent) Walker, Norwalk, Iowa; One Grandchild: Krista Walker, Norwalk, Iowa; his brothers: Duane (Wanda) Lauer, Bedford; Dean (Loretta) Lauer, Winterset; Dennis (Betty) Lauer, Winterset; his sister: Carolyn (Dale) Dillenburg, Creston; fourteen nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Deloyte in death were his parents and an infant brother.
