Don Scheel

Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Cromwell. Memorials may be directed to Greater Regional Hospice and/or Trinity Lutheran Preschool.
Donald Dean Scheel, the son of Frederick John and Vera Irene (Hubbard) Scheel, was born on November 16, 1937, at Gretna, Nebraska. Don entered eternal rest on June 25, 2008, at Greater Regional Medical Center, in Creston, Iowa, at the age of seventy years, seven months and nine days.
Don lived in Iowa since he was a child. He lived on a farm near Nevinville and moved to Creston around 1955. On June 3, 1956, Don married Donna Maxine Jones at the Lutheran Church in Creston.
Don farmed for several years and worked for Purolator until it closed. After that Don went to work for M M Motors in Creston. Don serviced vehicles for 27 years at M M Motors. Following his retirement, Don began mowing lawns and did snow removal. Don was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish Dons memory is his wife: Donna Scheel, Creston; his daughters: Debbie Sheren, Lilburn, GA; and Chris Anderson (companion Bob Bauman), Creston; Three Grandchildren: Lindsey Sheren, Hermosa Beach, CA; Matthew Sheren, Lilburn, GA; and Unity “Barney” Anderson, Creston; his brother: Gary (Karen) Scheel, Springfield, MO; his uncle: Lyle Scheel, Creston; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceding Don in death were his Parents; his Son: Ricky Scheel; his Son-in-Law: Rod Sheren; and Two Brothers: Bill Scheel and Junior Scheel.
