Donald Copeland

Burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family to be decided at a later time.
Donald Ray Copeland, the son of Donald Gene and Rosebud V. (Dudley) Copeland, was born on July 1, 1955, at Creston, Iowa. Don entered eternal rest on July 3, 2009, at his home in Creston, Iowa, at the age of fifty-four.
Don attended Creston Public Schools and graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1973. On June 17, 1978, Don married Lori Wood in Clearfield, Iowa, and they later divorced.
Don lived in Creston all of his life. He began working for Wellman Dynamics following his high school graduation in 1973. He worked at Wellmans for about ten years. He then worked in construction building roads as a lineman for about fifteen years. Don also worked as maintenance supervisor at the Lenox Care Center for ten years and at Precision Pulley and Idler.
Don was a member of the NRA and he bowled for many years in different leagues.
Left to cherish Dons memory are his son: Ted (wife Tara) Copeland, Creston; and two Grandchildren: Jackson Ray and Marissa Rose Copeland. Don is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceding Don in death were his Parents; Grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Don was known as a very kind-hearted person who will be missed.
