Edward Wittwer

October 24, 1914 — October 19, 2007

Edward “Eddie” C. Wittwer, the son of Leroy Archer and Ica May (Summers) Wittwer, was born on October 24, 1914 in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Edward passed away October 19, 2007 at the Odyssey HealthCare Hospice in
Peoria, Arizona, at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 26 days.
Eddie attended several elementary schools in southwest Iowa. Eddie was a member of the police force in Red Oak, serving as Chief for six years and also served with the Red Oak Fire Department. He worked for a number of years for Mid America Milling in Omaha, NE as a truck driver, retiring in 1979 when he and his wife Bessie moved to Arizona to be near their family.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his son, Jack (wife Judi) of Tucson, AZ; his daughter, Connie (husband Glen) ODell of Phoenix, AZ; grandsons: Douglas Todd (wife Roxanne) Wittwer of Fontana, CA, David C. Wittwer of Hillsboro, OR, Timothy S. Myhlhousen of South Bend, IN, Michael, Mitchell, David, and Daniel ODell of Phoenix, AZ, granddaughters: Sarah Myhlhousen of Glendale AZ, Jennifer Johnson and Jessica Cowand of Phoenix, AZ, and 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents: wife, Bessie July 3, 1992, brothers; Joseph and Donald Wittwer, and sister Mary Straight, grandson, John Nichols (ODell).
