Eileen Siddens

Eileen Mary Siddens, the daughter of Charles Peter and Frances Marie (Mitchell) Eagan, was born on January 4, 1931, south of Creston, in Union County, Iowa. Eileen entered eternal rest on September 13, 2010, at Arbor Springs of West Des Moines Nursing Home, West Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of seventy-nine years.
Eileen graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1949. In 1964 she married Carl William Siddens and has lived in Creston since 1971. Eileen was employed over thirty years at Earl Mays Garden Center in Creston.
Eileen was a life-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary; a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church; the Council of Catholic Women; the 49er Coffee Club; and the Creston Alumni Luncheon Group.
Left to cherish Eileens memory are her husband: Carl Siddens, Creston; her daughters: Barbara Bennett, Martensdale, Iowa; Catherine Bennett and husband Graham Cook, Des Moines; her two granddaughters: Cynde (husband Brian) Shepherd, Altoona; and Montessa (husband Michael) Brown, St. Marys, Iowa; her five great-grandchildren: Cody, Dustin and Jackie Shepherd; Noah and Bennett Brown; her brother: Emmett (wife Donna) Eagan, Creston; her sister-in-law: Katherine Young, Creston; and her brother-in-law: George (wife Alice) Faust, Creston.
Preceding Eileen in death were her parents; her daughter, Diane Staley; and her brother, Harold L. Eagan.
