Eilene K. Mikkelsen

Eilene K. Mikkelsen, 68, of Creston died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Greater Regional Hospice Home, Creston, Iowa. Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 13 at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St., Creston. Mary O’Riley will officiate. There will be no public viewing. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Greater Regional Hospice Home and/or American Legion Auxiliary. Eilene Kay Mikkelsen, the daughter of Arthur and Mary Lillian (Duben) Vicker, was born on October 14, 1944 in Creston, Iowa. Eilene lived most of her life in Creston. She lived in Omaha, Nebraska and Clinton, Iowa for a short time. Eilene graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1962 and attended CE School of Commerce, Omaha, Nebraska from 1962-1963. On August 29, 1965, she married Jerry Mikkelsen in Creston. Eilene worked as an Accountant for Draper, Snodgrass, Mikkelsen and Company.
Left to cherish Eilene’s memory is her husband, Jerry; her sons: David (Kate) Mikkelsen; Pete (Liz) Mikkelsen; and Clark (Liz) Kuntz; her grandchildren: Matt, Maggie and Olivia Mikkelsen; and Shane, Anna and Wesley Kuntz; her sister, Shirley (Larry) Woods; her brother, Tom (Ruta) Vicker; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; one aunt; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Preceding Eilene in death were her parents; her brother, Ken; her sister, Sally; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law.
