Elizabeth Walsh

Elizabeth Liz Rita Walsh, the daughter of Micheal F. and Elizabeth Henrietta (Potter) Kelley, was born on July 1, 1928, at Creston, Iowa. Liz entered eternal rest on August 27, 2010, at Crest Haven Care Centre, Creston, Iowa, at the age of eighty-two years.
Liz grew up in Creston and lived the majority of her life here. She graduated from Creston High School and received her Radiation Technology degree from Iowa Lutheran Hospital in June, 1966. On November 18, 1978, she married Thomas Joseph Walsh in Buena Park, California.
Liz worked as a Radiology Technician at Greater Community Hospital for twenty years. She was a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians and was on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Liz was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and volunteered at the Holy Spirit Rectory Re-Run Store. She was also a member of the National Committee to preserve Social Security and Medicare.
Left to cherish Lizs memory are her husband, Thomas Walsh, Creston; fourteen nieces and six nephews; her brother-in-law, Paul Walsh, Omaha, Nebraska; her sisters-in-law: Mary Ann (Cihak) Walsh, Creston; and Mary (Walsh) Tomek, Omaha, Nebraska; and her most beloved friend, Betty Baker, Creston.
Preceding Liz in death were her brother, Joseph Kelley; her sisters: Margaret (Kelley) Saub; and Patricia (Kelley) Roberts; her mother, Elizabeth (Potter) Kelley and her father, Michael F. Kelley.
