Ellen Fry

Clara Ellen Fry was born to Effie Belle (Fleharty) and William Edward Reed on May 16, 1912, in Metz, Missouri. Ellen entered eternal rest on June 3, 2006, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of ninety-four years and eighteen days.
On March 28, 1928, Ellen married Walter Edward Fry in Creston, Iowa. Ellen lived in Van Wert until 1950 and she lived in Orient until 1976. She moved to Creston in 1976. Ellen was a farm wife and homemaker.
Ellen was a Member of Assembly of God Church in Creston. Ellen was very active in the church: She taught Sunday School; was on the Church Board (Deaconess); was Past President of Womens Ministry; and played piano for the services.
Left to mourn Ellens passing were her Daughter: Kathleen (Archie) Hove, Circle, MT; Son: Kenneth (Karen) Fry, Creston; Son: Doyle Fry (special friend Darlene Myers), Creston; Daughter: Lena (Tom) Rouh, Centerville, IA; Son: Roger (Beth) Fry, Creston; Son: Randy (Samantha) Fry, Creston; Daughter-in-law: Beverly Fry, Creston; Sisters-in-law: Elsie Reed, Leon, IA; Lorene Reed, Kellerton, IA; Thirty-six Grandchildren; Eighty-five Great Grandchildren; Fifty-six Great-Great Grandchildren; and One Great-Great-Great Granddaughter. Ellen has 184 living decendents.
Preceding Ellen in death were her Parents: Husband in 1976; Daughter: Pauline and Husband Clifford Miller; Sons: Ronald Fry, Everett and wife Ellen Fry; Clarence “C.D.” and wife Lorraine Fry; Herman Fry; Six Grandsons; One Great Grandson; One Great-Great Grandchild; and Daughter-in-law: Nancy Fry.
