Emma Geraldine “Jerry” Brownrigg was born to Grace Marie (Hayes) and James Andrew Mullin on July 2, 1927, at Maloy, Iowa. Jerry entered eternal rest on July 6, 2006, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of seventy-nine years and four days.
Jerry lived most of her life in Creston. She graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1944. On September 23, 1944, she married LeRoy Jefferson “Bud” Brownrigg at Creston, Iowa. To this union, six children were born.
Jerry was a homemaker. She worked for several years at Kings Cafe. Jerry also worked as a nurse aide at CrestHaven Care Centre, and provided in-home care for the elderly. Jerry was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a member of the Eagles Lodge. Jerry also volunteered her time to the American Cancer Society and the Diabetes Association.
Preceding Jerry in death were her Parents; One Sister: Patty Worrell; One Granddaughter: Allison Freihage; Niece: Carol Ann Neilson; and Nephew: Steve Richards.
Left to mourn Jerrys passing are her husband: L. J. “Bud” Brownrigg, Creston; her children: Gary (wife Sandee) Brownrigg, Creston; Gloria (husband Joe) Wright, Panora; Linda (husband George) Bailey, Clearfield; Sharon (husband Gail) Freihage, Prescott; Randy (wife Sandy) Brownrigg, Ankeny; Angie (husband Mark) Vicker, Creston; Fourteen Grandchildren; Fourteen Great-Grandchildren; her brother: James (wife Marilyn) Mullin, Des Moines, IA; her sister: Garland Richards, Creston; her Brother-in-Law: George Worrell, Wiota, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
