Eula Faye Pace

Eula Faye Pace, the daughter of Lyman Benjamin and Norah Glenn (Young) Longstreth, was born on April 17, 1914, at the hospital in Creston, Union County, Iowa. Eula Faye entered eternal rest on September 2, 2010, at the Oskaloosa Care Center, Oskaloosa, Iowa, at the age of ninety-six years, four months and eighteen days.
Eula Faye graduated from Afton High School with the Class of 1930. She received a Teacher Training Certificate from Creston Junior College on May 25, 1932. She taught school for a short time prior to her marriage. On August 22, 1933, Eula Faye married Don Eblen Pace and one daughter, Donna, was born to this union. Don passed away on September 3, 1976.
Eula Faye farmed in Adair County with her husband. They also owned and operated Pace Feed and Mill Company in Creston for many years. Eula Faye lived on the farm east of Orient; then later moved to Creston where she lived the majority of her life. She loved animals and had many pets over the years.
Left to cherish Eula Fayes memory are her son-in-law: Marvin Steffen, Corning; two grandchildren: Marva (husband Michael) Philipsen, Ottumwa; and Bart (wife Tina) Steffen, Oskaloosa; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Eula Faye in death were her parents; her husband, Don in 1976; her daughter, Donna Steffen; and three sisters and five brothers.
