Eunice Terry

March 27, 1917 — May 17, 2010

Eunice Opal Terry, the daughter of Walter William and Myrtle Christina (Bummer) Howes, was born on March 27, 1917, at Oketo, Kansas. Eunice entered eternal rest on May 17, 2010, at her home in Crestridge Estates, Creston, Iowa, at the age of ninety-three years, one month, and nineteen days.
Eunice graduated from Marysville, Kansas High School with the Class of 1936. On June 6, 1937, she married Burdette Jordan Terry in Beatrice, Nebraska. Eunice was a homemaker. After her husband retired from the Natural Gas Pipeline she received training and worked as an EMT in Hardy, Arkansas. Eunice and Burdette lived many different places in Iowa, Nebraska, Texas and Kansas. Eunice lived in Hardy, Arkansas, from 1976 until moving to Creston in 1988.
Eunice was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and was a member of the Mary Circle. She was a long time member of T.O.P.S. Growing up, she was a member of the Marysville, Kansas Mary Maids 4-H Club.
Left to cherish Eunices memory are her children: Twila (Dean) Brant, Creston; and Bobby (Stephenia) Terry, Hardy, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law: Kathy Terry, Hope, Arkansas; and one cousin.
Preceding Eunice in death were her parents; her husband in January, 1983; her son, Bill Terry; her infant daughter, Joyce Terry; and two grandsons: Billy and Terry Brant.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be decided at a later date.
