Evangeline A. Nissen

Evangeline Anne Nissen, the daughter of Arthur Lawrence and Readon Jean (Runco) Nissen, was born on May 19, 1949, at Alameda, California. Annie entered eternal rest on February 21, 2008, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, at the age of fifty-eight years, nine months, and five days.
Annie lived in California for one year; lived in Vermillion, South Dakota; and lived at Glenwood State School in Iowa. Annie lived and worked at the group home in Atlantic for many years. She worked through the group home in Atlantic doing jobs such as crushing cans, wood shop, etc. Annie has lived in Creston at S.I.R.F. for more than fifteen years.
Annie loved fishing, dancing and music. She also loved to go shopping and to garage sales. Annie loved animals, especially her cat, Michael. Annie loved little children and babies and had a room full of dolls. Donald Clark was a very special friend for many years and Annie loved her long-time roommate, Leslie, like a sister.
Left to cherish Annies memory are her mother, Readon, and “Papa” Carl Born, of Carrollton, GA; her sisters: Keitha (David) Crain, Graham, WA; Lue (John) Perrine, San Jose, CA; Vickie Born, Atemt, CA; Kathryn Burke, Santa Clara, CA; Patricia Siers, South Prairie, WA; Kathy (Tim) Sprinkle, Carrollton, GA; Susie (Nick) Toller, Anna, OH; her brothers: Carl Born, Jr., Atemt, CA; Steven (Alesia) Born, Carrollton, GA; and Donald (Mary) Born, Villarica, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Annie in death were her grandparents; and Father, Arthur Nissen on December 5, 2005.
