Fonda M. Strong

Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Quincy.
Fonda “Peggy” Strong was born to Arthur and Rachel Peterson on April 1, 1929, in Carbon, Iowa. Peggy entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Corning Nursing Rehab Center in Corning, Iowa at the age of seventy-nine years old.
Peggy has lived in Adams County her entire life and attended school in Carbon.
On October 19, 1965 she was united in marriage to Clyde William Strong of Massena in Omaha, Nebraska.
Throughout Peggys life she volunteered at the Congregate Meal Site until ill health forced her to enter the Corning Nursing Rehab Center, she truly enjoyed her stay there.
Peggy is survived by her brother-in-law: Robert C. Howard of Golden Valley, AZ; five nieces, two nephews and cousins in the Corning area.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde in February of 1985; parents; brothers: Wilber, Wilford and Arthur Dean Peterson; sisters: Marjorie Joan Bixler and R. Janette Howard; brother-in-law: Kenneth Bixler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the family.
