Harriet Cimock

Harriet was born in Adams County, Iowa, May 30, 1931 at the home of her parents, Harry and Leona (Jensen) Gaskill. Harriet Ann (Gaskill) Cimock entered eternal rest on December 18, 2007 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Corning, Iowa at the age of seventy six years, six months and twenty one days.
Harriet attended rural schools and graduated from Corning High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to John Cimock August 6, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Red Oak. They later joined St. Timothys Catholic Church in Reno, Iowa, where they were members for over 50 years.
The couple lived in the Lincoln Center area, later moving to Corning, Iowa.
Harriet was a “typical” farm wife and help mate. She loved butterflies. She spent much of her time making small blankets for nursing homes and hospitals. Harriet also made over ten thousand, personalized, rosarys that have been sent all over the world. She will be greatly missed.
Harriet is survived by her Husband: John of Corning, Iowa, Daughters: Jeanne (husband Larry) Allen, Ames, Iowa; Barbara (husband Larry) Cox, Clive, Iowa; Jo (husband John) Pabon, LaGrange, Illinois, Sons: Larry (wife Vi) Cimock, Creston, Iowa; Allen (wife Trish) Cimock, Howell, New Jersey, eight grandchildren, Brother: Ronald (wife Ramona) Gaskill, Omaha, Nebraska, and three nieces.
Harriet was preceded in death by her Parents, Sister: Wilma Jane, Brother: Dale.
