Harvey Harrison, Jr., 59, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at Creston Nursing and Rehab. Center, Creston, Iowa. No services are planned and there will be no public viewing. Memorials may be directed to the family. On-line condolences may be left at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.
Harvey Lee Harrison, Jr., the son of Colleen Wyonne (Hilterbrand) and Harvey Lee Harrison, Sr., was born on April 19, 1955 in Osceola, Iowa. Harvey attended High School in Omaha, Nebraska, and enlisted in the United States Army at the age of seventeen. He received his GED while serving in the Army from 1972-1974 and served again from September, 1981- September, 1984 (and was stationed in Germany part of the time). After his discharge, Harvey worked different construction jobs in various parts of the state, mostly home and road construction.
Left to cherish Harvey’s memory are his wife, Debra Morehouse, Prescott; his children: Jesse Harrison, Prescott; Corinna Morehouse, Prescott; and Rick Morehouse, Persia, Iowa; his grandsons: Dylon Richman, Prescott and Reggie Morehouse, Sharpsburg; his brother, Richard (Theresa) Harrison, Red Oak; his sisters: Darlene Riepe, Creston; Crystal McCarl, Slater, IA; Sheila (Rick) Utterback, Creston; Doreen Miller, Oskaloosa; Melody (Jim) Richardson; Council Bluffs; and Julie Miller, Manilla; his beloved basset hound, Droop; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Harvey in death were his parents; and his grandson, Ricky Morehouse, Jr.
