Helen M. Schadde

No Visitation is planned. Burial will be private at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the Salem Lutheran Church.
Helen Marie Schadde, the only child of Fredrick Edward and Mary A. (Nord) Schadde, was born on April 5, 1923, at Creston, Iowa. Helen entered eternal rest on September 23, 2008, at Osceola Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Osceola, Iowa, at the age of eighty-five years, five months, and twenty-one days.
Helen graduated from Creston High School and graduated from Augustana College in Rockford, Illinois, with a bachelor degree. Helen was a native of Creston, Iowa and lived in several cities in the U. S.; such as Springfield, Illinois, Baltimore, Maryland and Dallas, Texas; before moving back to Creston in 2000. Helen worked as an executive secretary for Horace Mann Insurance most of her working life. She moved to the nursing home in 2003.
Helen was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church and a member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).
Helen was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish Helens memory are her cousins: Shirley Lischer, Marshalltown, IA; Art Lischer, West Des Moines, IA; Karen Lischer, Marshalltown, and Susan Lewkow, Centennial, CO.
