Helen Robbins

June 9, 1918 — January 23, 2008

Burial will be at the Farragut Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the United Church of Christ.
Helen Virginia Robbins, the only daughter of Willard N. and Sybil (Jones) Robbins, was born on June 9, 1918, in Creston, Iowa. Helen entered eternal rest on January 23, 2008, at the Greater Regional Medical Center, in Creston, Iowa, at the age of eighty-nine years, seven months and sixteen days.
Helen lived all of her life in Creston and attended Creston Public Schools. Helen graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1937.
Helen was a long-time member of the United Church of Christ. She was devoted to her church, not only as a member, but also by serving for over thirty years as the church secretary. Helen enjoyed her friends; and in recent years she and some of her high school friends still met for a monthly breakfast gathering.
Left to cherish Helens memory are her Great-Nieces: Jeanne Harrington and Kay Peterson, both of Omaha, Nebraska; and Great-Nephew: Steven Robbins of Kansas City, Missouri; Good Friend: Jane Lowe of Creston, and many other friends.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents; her brother, Willard D. Robbins; and her nephew, Willard J. Robbins.
