Isabelle Vicker

June 16, 1924 — January 19, 2006

Isabelle Vicker was born to Francis (Sullivan) and John E. Nissen on June 16, 1924, on a farm in Adams County on the former Icarian Colony land. Isabelle entered eternal rest on January 19, 2006, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center at the age of eighty-one years, seven months, and five days.
Isabelle graduated from Cromwell High School with the class of 1942. On March 9, 1946, Isabelle married Richard Joseph Vicker at the Cromwell United Church of Christ. Isabelle lived southwest of Cromwell in Adams County before moving to her current residence. She has lived at her current residence for 43 years. Isabelle was a homemaker and helped in any way possible with the Welsh Pony business. Isabelle loved to play cards.
Isabelle was a member of the Lakeshore Ladies Auxiliary-Past President (having served for 11 years); Former Board Member of the Greater Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary for many years; Taught Sunday School for the pre-schoolers at Cromwell Congregational Church for 22 years; and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Creston.
Left to mourn Isabelles passing are her husband: Richard Vicker, Creston; her sons: Ron J. Vicker, Adel, Iowa; Rod J. (wife Lynn) Vicker, Nevada; Roger J. Vicker, Creston; five Grandchildren: Rich (wife Kristine) Vicker, Ankeny; Ronda Vicker, West Des Moines; Melissa (husband Jerod) Robinson, Granger, IA; Rob (wife Amie) Vicker, Johnston; Lisa (husband Cody) Eigenheer, Granger, IA; and six Great-Grandchildren.
Preceding Isabelle in death were her parents; and one brother.
