J.B. Foote, the son of Basil Percy and Juanita Dorothy (Carmen) Foote, was born on June 14, 1049, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. J.B. entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of fifty eight years, six months and three days.
J.B. married Loretta Ann Sturm on August 22, 1968 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Six children were born to bless this union.
J.B. worked at Ewalds Drive-In in Council Bluffs, Iowa as a young boy. As an adult, J.B. worked for the Federal Building in Omaha as a custodian while living in Council Bluffs. J.B. moved to Taylor County in 1984 and has lived in Lenox since 2000. J.B. worked for The Taylor County Road Department, then worked for the Bedford Schools from 1987-1999. J.B. enjoyed going to the Skylark Cafe in Bedford to drink coffee with family and friends. J.B. also enjoyed having family and friends get together so he could enjoy his grandchildren and make everyone laugh and giggle; he was the life of the party. J.B. often played bingo until his health began to fail. J.B. would best be known for coming home on a Friday and saying “pack your bags for a few days”. You wouldnt know where you were going until you got there.
Left to cherish J.B.s memory is his wife: Loretta Ann of Lenox, Iowa, Children: Tammy Foote (husband Gilberto Rodrigues), Lenox; J. B. Foote, Jr. (Fiance Debra Crisp), Bedford; Randall (Rebecca) Foote, Lenox; Keith (Brenda) Foote; Lenox; Denny (Cheri) Foote, Lenox; and Nichole (Chris) Davis, Rainbow, TX; Sixteen Grandchildren:
Brothers: Basil Foote, Jr., Council Bluffs, Iowa; Randy Foote, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Sisters: Rhonda Wallin, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Evelyn “Sis” Casto, Lake Havasu, Arizona. J.B. is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding J.B. in death were his Parents and his Brother: Alfred “Butch” Mier.
