James Herrmann

James Burke Herrmann was born September 30, 1941, to Frederick James Herrmann and Louise Burke (Pickens) Herrmann in Creston, Iowa. Jim passed away Monday, April 10, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare Center in Fullerton, Nebraska, at the age of sixty-four.
Jim graduated from Greenfield High School with the class of 1959. He attended Kearney State College for several years.
Jim lived in Creston as a young boy. He grew up in Greenfield. Jim worked with his parents in the shoe store business for a number of years. When the family lived in Lincoln, he worked for Good Year and Lincoln Benefit Life Insurance Company. Jim lived in Broken Bow, Nebraska, most of his adult life.
He was an avid “Cornhusker” and Roger Miller fan. He enjoyed playing practical jokes, card games, and golf.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and an aunt and uncle.
Jim is survived by two sons: James Bret (wife Cynthia) Herrmann of Arlington, Texas; Scott Brady (wife Carol) of Orient; one daughter: Tracy (husband Brian) Thompson of Greenfield; Seven Grandchildren; one sister: Sharon Bochart of Broken Bow, Nebraska; one brother: William (wife Diane) Herrmann of Lone Tree, Colorado; and other relatives and friends.
