Jimmie Brenizer, 76, of Afton, Iowa entered Eternal Rest Monday, May 31, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Creston, Iowa. Visitation will be 3-7 PM, Thursday with family receiving friends 6-7 PM at the funeral home. Jimmie will be laid to rest in the Murray Cemetery, Murray, Iowa. Jimmie Ray Brenizer was born in Leon, Iowa on December 25, 1944, the first born son of Ray Jim and Eva Viola (McClarey) Brenizer. Jimmie would become a big brother to Garry, the second son born to Ray and Eva. Jimmie attended school in Leon and later, the family lived in Davis City, Iowa a few years. Following Ray’s death, Eva later married Eldon Bauer and together the couple had a child, Lyle, born in 1960. The family moved to a farm south of Murray, Iowa in Clarke County, where Jimmie lived until Eva’s death. Jimmie moved to Afton in 1996 to reside at CARE. He was employed for over 15 years at Innovative Industries as an Object Assembler.

Jimmie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Creston and was baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Winterset, Iowa. He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling on TV and loved watching movies. Jimmie was very curious about his family genealogy and wrote many letters over the years. He especially enjoyed the many telephone visits with his family and friends. Jimmie was an avid photographer and also loved reading comic books.

Preceding Jimmie in death were his parents; his sister-in-law, Dianne Brenizer; his aunt Lottie Dean and 2 uncles: Merle Dean and Roland Daly.

Jimmie is survived by his 2 brothers: Garry Brenizer of Afton, Iowa and Lyle (wife Debra) Bauer of Creston, Iowa; 2 aunts: Dorothy Daly of Osceola, Iowa and Addie Rickard of Columbia Falls, Montana; his CARE family; numerous nieces, nephews, many cousins and a host of friends.
