John W. Stalder

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Methodist Grove Cemetery, southwest of Brooks, rural Adams County.
John William Stalder was born November 21, 1913 in Adams County, Iowa and passed away August 24, 2008. He was the son of James and Elsie Myers Stalder. In adulthood he moved to Reno, Nevada. He married Lolita Jo Denton-Hughes and to this union one son, Dennis James was born. John was employed with Yancey Company for 33 years as Superintendent of Construction. He was a lifetime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, local #971 of Reno, Nevada.
John moved to Corning, Iowa in 2003 and to Villisca Good Samaritan Care Center in 2005.
John was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lolita Jo on March 9, 1991; son, Dennis James on October 4, 1992.
He is survived by daughter-in-law, Janice Stalder of Copperas Cove, TX; sister, Mrs. Clyde (Ethelda) Stillinger of Lenox, IA; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
