John W. Stuart

John Wendell Stuart was born May 6, 1943, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of John Clark and Katheryn Frances (Elston) Stuart. He passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of seventy-six years.
John graduated with the class of 1961 from Southport High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He proudly served his country with the Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970. John was a lifelong cattleman. On December 19, 1986 he married Neva Nelson in St. Joseph, Missouri. He lived several different places throughout his life, most recently he called Aurora, Missouri home. John was a life-long Mason.
Left to cherish John’s memory are his children: John “Bob” Stuart (Sarah) of Corning, and Genie Taylor (Bob) of Grant; grandchildren: Jonathan Stuart (Alexis) of Corning, Jordan Stuart (Payge Newbury) of Corning, Shane, Colten and Austin Taylor of Grant; great-grandchildren: Bryden and Brecken Stuart; brother: Phil Stuart (Donna) of Madison, Indiana; sister: Jeri “Snookie” Glant (Bob) of Indianapolis, Indiana; step-children: Jimmy Barr (Lori) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Johnny Barr (Diane) of Clarinda, Betty Adams (Dwayne Gaunt) of Lenox, and Patty Westover (Curtis Adair) of Clarinda; step-grandchildren: Ashely Gavello (Andrew) of Kernersville, North Carolina, J.W. Barr of Clarinda, Jodi Mothershead (Tommy) of Clarinda, Jeromy Fastenau (Tiffany) of Corning, Brittany Blake (Quinn) of Gravity, Mikayla Westover of Shenandoah, and several step-great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends. Preceding John in death was his parents and wife, Neva in 2017.
