Judy (Brammer) Pritchard, 68, of Creston died Monday, July 15, 2013, at her home in Creston. No services or visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society and/or Greater Regional Hospice. Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Judith Lynn (Brammer) Pritchard, the daughter of Rex and Effie (Simmons) Brammer, was born on July 11, 1945, in Iowa City, Iowa. Judy grew up in Creston. She graduated from High School in Newton, Iowa and lived in Des Moines until 1974. Judy lived in the Houston, Texas area for thirty-one years. Judy and her husband, Richard, have lived in Creston the last seven years. Judy married Richard Lee Pritchard on April 12, 1977 in Houston, Texas. Judy worked as an apartment manager in a suburb of Houston for nearly twenty years. She helped the elderly in Creston by cleaning houses and cleaned rental properties for the local realtors in Creston.
Left to cherish Judy’s memory are her husband, Richard “Bud” Pritchard, Creston; her mother: Charity Zimmerman, Rye, TX; her three sons: Richard William Allison, Creston; Ronny Allison, Fenton, MO; and Albert Parrish, Des Moines; her two daughters: Johnna Allison, Red Wing, MN; and Heather Parrish, Des Moines; more than sixteen grandchildren; and more than twenty great-grandchildren; her brothers: Ronny (Lacy) Brammer, Conway, IA; Randy (Angie) Downey, Cherokee, IA; Kevin Downey, Creston; her brother-in-law: Gene Beavers, Creston; her sisters: Vicki Moore, Des Moines, IA; and Sharon Downey, Carlisle, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Judy in death were her biological parents: Rex Brammer, who died when Judy was nine years old; and Effie Brammer, who died when Judy was sixteen years old; her sister, Carla Beavers; her brother, Rex McFee; and her adoptive father, Walt Zimmerman
