Kenneth Schofield

Kenneth Allen Schofield was born to Leona Pearl (Reeve) and Frank Schofield on August 11, 1922, in Kent, Union County, Iowa. Kenneth entered eternal rest on February 28, 2005, at the age of eighty-two years, six months, and twenty-one days.
Kenneth lived in Creston most of his life. He entered the United States Army during World War II on March 18, 1943, and was honorably discharged on October 30, 1945.
Kenneth was an Engineer for the Burlington Northern Railroad for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the American Legion.
Left to mourn Kenneths passing are his daughters: Jacqueline Schofield, Des Moines, IA; Gracia Bennett, Des Moines, IA; and Wilma (husband Calvin) Curtis, Des Moines, IA; Step Daughter: Jan Ferree; Grandchildren: Jerry Bennett, Cindy Bilbrey, Ken Bennett, Shawna Schofield, Michelle Bilbrey, Travis Ray, Angie Ray, Jeffrey Bilbrey, Shalan Ray; fifteen great-grandchildren; Sisters: Mable McCutchan, Creston; Elizabeth “Babe” (husband Don) Brooks, Arizona; Friends: Larry Bird, Wayne McNichols, and Bill Jones.
Preceding Kenneth in death were his parents; Son: Kenny Schofield on May 8, 1985; Grandson: Jerome Ray on September 3, 1998; and his Wife: Orabelle on April 18, 2000.
