Larry L. Wheeler

Inurnment will be at Arlington Cemetery in rural Montgomery County, Iowa.
Larry L. Wheeler, son of Robert Max Wheeler and Velma Mae (Cook) Wheeler, was born in Atlantic, Iowa on December 2, 1940. Larry entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at his residence in Nodaway, Iowa, at the age of sixty-seven years, five months and two days.
Larry graduated from Villisca High School in 1960 and farmed most of his life with his father. Later, Larry farmed with his brother, in the Villisca and Nodaway area.
He was united in marriage on March 22, 1964 to Aneita Ruth Miller at the Presbyterian Church in Corning, Iowa. Larry and Aneita were blessed with two children: Robert and Brenda.
Larry especially loved to work outside and ride his Harley. He was a member of the: American Legion of Villisca; A.B.A.T.E. of Iowa; Red Oak Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOG). Larry was also a member of the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and the Masonic Lodge #590 of Nodaway.
Left to cherish Larrys memory is his wife, Aneita Wheeler, Nodaway, Iowa; mother, Velma Wheeler, Villisca, Iowa; mother-in-law, Lenora Karstensen, Corning, Iowa; son, Robert (wife Julie) Wheeler, Mountain Home, Idaho; daughter, Brenda (Greg) Barber, Des Moines, Iowa. Larry is also survived by his three grandchildren: Johnathan, Jessica and Victoria Locke, Des Moines, Iowa; brother, Dale (wife Sharon) Wheeler, Villisca, Iowa; sisters-in-law: Rita Rohrssen, Marietta, Georgia, Janiece Brokaw (special friend Brian Weinreich), Corning, Iowa; and a host of other relatives.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Wheeler; brother-in-law, Gerald Rohrssen; grandson, Robert Jeffrey Miller; father-in-law, Norman “Stormy” Karstensen; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Bruns.
